Rockerfeller Centre (ice rink just below - I was too terrified at falling over to take photos of the actually skating. Good thing, I didn't fall over once...)

Sorry folks, essays have taken their toll this week or so, but I figured it was about time to put up pictures of New York from the beginning of December. New York is not only one the best cities on Earth, it's also an epic place to get in the mood for Christmas.....10 days eeeeeee!!!!
Sorry everyone, it's been a busy week of deadlines and work, so not many photos....until Penn welcomed Joseph Gordon-Levitt.....swooooon. For all of you who don't know who he is, Google him immediately and check out his very cool creative arts blog HitRecord (it's what he came to talk about) where anyone can post very cool stuff. If that still hasn't helped you, this is the guy who was the boy in "Third Rock from the Sun"....and for all of you who do know him, he's the reason "500 Days of Summer" is just so epic : )
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!! I know it's actually tomorrow, but I'm heading off to Boston to celebrate with other Penn Exchanges, so photos of the city and some turkey over the weekend will appear when I return.
It's been hard to caputre the autumnal colours around campus on my camera, but here's a few shots of Penn and the trees around the central part of the uni and near where I live...
MICHELLE OBAMA AT PENN!!!!! Need I say more? Basically she turned up (along with pretty much every key Democrat in Philly and Penn state - who all proceeded to lose their seats) at a rally held here in Penn outside our union. An amazingly inspirational and motivational speaker, full of that 'YES WE CAN' spirit. Makes me so angry that they didn't....The best bits of the speech though were the bits where she mentioned Barack - next task is to see him speak....
So last Tuesday saw the Democrats lose their hold of the House of Representatives in the 2010 Midterm elections...and in the spirit of American politics I went all political (despite not being able to vote unless I become a full US citizen and live here for 2 years...)
First up is John Stewart and Stephen Colbert's "Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear" - basically aimed at all the moderates in this country who don't watch Fox News and who love Comedy Central. These guys are legends. So here are a few pics from the rally in Washington DC on Oct 30th - I was one of over 250,000 - I think that's pretty cool.
It's Halloween time, so I thought I'd share some pictures of the decorations that are up around my halls, plus some confectionery treats and the decorative ghost I couldn't resist at $1 :)
